Black Dress #2

Sorry for the long hiatus! Finals, Christmas break, starting school and getting used to my new schedule all took my time away. But I have finally returned! Anyways, here is the latest re-creation:




I felt like Anne of Green Gables in this, what with the huge puffed sleeves. This thing had 2 shoulder pads in each puff. 2! It actually took me awhile to decide what to do with it. Close up of the fabric:

The label is "All That Jazz". Chicago anyone?
I liked the floral and the scalloped neck line, but as a dress it was just too much! So here's what I did to it:


I took out the shoulder pads and shortened it into a jacket- much better and it only took me maybe 20 minutes!

Total cost: $1.50

  4. came over from NDAD I love that you girls are using up old clothes and making them into fun updates. I did alot of similar things when I was in college & teaching HOME EC 35 -40 years ago.
